Friday 30th September - porridge, shortbread, garlic and herb dip

Wow can't believe it's the end of September already!!

Made porridge for breakfast.
dd1 made shortbread.
And made garlic and herb dip.

Sunday 18th September - boiled eggs, butter, garlic and herb dip, choc icecream

Breakfast - boiled eggs (edc)

Made butter (as usual Quirky Jo's recipe)

Made a garlic and herb dip (similar to edc) to take to a party.

Made a chocolate ice cream mixture, to make up in the ice cream maker (300ml cream, 300ml milk, 1/3 cup of sugar, chopped chocolate, cooked 10mins 50 degrees speed 3)
Yum, I love chocolate icecream!!

Wednesday 13th July - garlic and herb dip, smoothie

Breakfast - strawberry smoothie

Made garlic and herb dip to take to a friends. Out for the rest of the day.

Wed/Thur/Fri 1-3rd June - porridge (x3), stock, broccoli soup, spinach and feta dip, garlic and herb dip

Been really flat out the last few days.
Wednesday and Thursday the tmx was just used for porridge for breakfast.

Friday - Also porridge for breakfast.
Made chicken stock and then broccoli and potato soup for dinner.
Also made Spinach and Feta dip (recipe on the forum, this is a real favourite and haven't had it in ages) and also the usual favourite Garlic and Herb dip.

Monday 11th/Tuesday 12th April - soup, dip

Monday 11th - Dinner - chicken, udon noodle and veg soup, the girls favourite as usual. With extra garlic and ginger to combat the cold season.

Tuesday 12th - garlic and herb dip to take to a friends for her birthday. (think that was all as had eggs for breakfast and salad and rolls for lunch, out till late).

Sunday 10th April - porridge, garlic and herb dip, stock, salt and pepper chicken

Breakfast - porridge.
Then made garlic and herb dip to take to a friends.
Then some chicken stock (was meant to be for soup for lunch but too much morning tea eaten to justify making it).
Dinner - http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=5326.15 Salt and Pepper chicken, made the flour mix in the tmx.

Sunday 6th March - dip, salad

Made dd3's favourite dip for her party today - the garlic and herb from the EDC (or the white one as she calls it) and then made a carrot, capsicum and spring onion salad.

The party went great and the cake was a hit. Now we just have to make the 40 cupcakes for preschool - am thinking of doing cheese and zucchini muffins as they are her favourites, but not sure if too many of the kids would be disappointed.

Saturday 19th February - porridge, dips, salad, stock

Breakfast - porridge

Made 2 dips - garlic and herb and hummus for a bbq we were going to for dinner.
After making the garlic and herb I made a quick carrot and capsicum salad (always make some kind of salad to use up the last of the dip in the bowl) then made some hummus to take as well.

Also made some chicken stock. Hope it's cooler tomorrow to make some soup.

Oh and here is a photo of this weeks rice bubble bars - haven't posted one in ages.

Friday 21st January - smoothie, garlic and herb dip, pizza and toppings

Breakfast - smoothie.

Then made garlic and herb (parsley and chives) dip to take to friends.

Dinner we had pizza.
The TMX made the dough, a garlic and herb blend (for a garlic pizza with a little olive oil and a little cheese), tomato pizza sauce, grated cheese.

And for those that love my children's idiosyncrasies, here is dd3 hugging the dough. She spent the whole pizza making experience patting and cuddling the dough. Apparently she loves dough, lol. (remember these are the kids that have been known to eat flour, and she does actually quite like eating bits of raw dough.)

Tuesday 4th January - smoothie, mustard, pate, herb spread, vegie soup, bread

Breakfast - smoothie

Then made mustard - very impressed with this. Soaked the mustard seeds for a day and half in vinegar with a clove of garlic, then it took just a minute to make up the mustard today. The girls all had a taste (think I have odd children as they were all fighting over who got to lick the spatula - mustard at breakfast time, mmm) and declared it just like the other stuff (meaning shop bought). So another great money saver.

Then made a batch of pate.

Lunch - had some left over tortilla's in the fridge. So blended up some garlic and mixed herbs and put this with some mozarella on them and baked for a few minutes. Yummy!!! Served with salads.

Dinner - vegetable soup - chicken stock, garlic, ginger, some soup mix, mixed veg (I bought a big bag of frozen mixed veg - carrot, corn, peas - from the frozen berry place but as we never use frozen veg I hadn't used it. Went perfectly in the soup and the girls shared a bowl of the veg frozen whilst it was cooking - once again did I say my kids are a little odd?) - really nice soup.

Also served up leftovers - and that pork belly from last night was even better tonight!!

A loaf of bread.

Sunday 26th December - smoothie, cheese bread, bread, dip, banana bread, potato and eggs, Mongolian Beef

Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas Day.

The Thermomix had a good work out today after it's day off (nearly) yesterday.

Breakfast - smoothie

For lunch made a couple of small free form cheese and wholewheat loafs (with cheese in the middle and on top) served with various salads, ham and dips.

Also made a loaf of bread for tomorrow (cracked rye and black chia)

Made a garlic and herb dip (with parsley and chives) to replenish the one that was eaten yesterday. btw the pate was a massive success - everyone loved it and were very impressed it was homemade.

Made banana bread - http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=2962.0 as we had a couple of bananas needing eating up.
This is a lovely recipe. Very light and moist banana bread.

And cooked cubed potato in the varoma and eggs in the basket for potato salad for tomorrow.

Dinner was Mongolian Beef (MOTM). I had cubed beef so cooked it for 20 mins in total. Once again a hit, the meat is so tender from the marinating. I did put in a large green jalapeno chili only partly deseeded which made it a bit on the spicy side esp for the kids, but they still at it up and loved it.
Served with carrots and rice.

Friday 24th December - pancakes, dips, pate, coleslaw, bread, shortbread, Honey Mustard Chicken

Breakfast - pancakes

In the morning I made - garlic and herb dip (with chives and parsley - a really nice change to the spring onions) and hummus for Christmas Day tomorrow.
I also made the chicken liver pate in the EDC - very impressed. So cheap, quick and easy to make two big pate containers - dh is currently enjoying some!
Will be off looking at pate recipes now as it's just so professional looking.

Made coleslaw (instead of cleaning the tmx after making the garlic and herb dip).

Made a loaf of bread.

And a double lot of shortbread.

Dinner was Trudy O's Honey Mustard Chicken. Another simple, quick and very tasty Thermomix meal. Compared to most other people we would go for a little more mustard (dh thought a little hot english, I was thinking a little dijon) as we like things with a lot of flavour. Kids all enjoyed so this one is def on the menu.
I cooked red capsicum and mushrooms in with meal and served with rice and carrots.

Thursday 9th December - smoothie, muffins, sundried tomato and capsicum dip, chicken stock, soup

Breakfast - smoothie

Made cheese and zucchini muffins (forum recipe)

Made Sundried Tomato and Capsicum Dip (EDC) - this is really nice and makes masses, next time I'd do half the recipe if just for us for dips.

Made chicken stock and soup for dinner.

Sunday 5th December - porridge, smoothie, Christmas Shortbread, dip, salad, tortillas, slow cooked ribs, potatoes, steamed veg

Breakfast: porridge and 4 berry smoothies

Spent a lot of the morning in the kitchen

Pistaschio and cranberry Christmas shortbread
Kids had this for desert and loved it.
Lovely red, green and white festive colours.

Not TMX but also made some more Xmas chocolates (the girls have been loving having a little advent chocolate in their lunch boxes as a December treat) and easiyo yoghurt

Lunch - garlic and herb dip
Carrot, capsicum and lime salad (with leftover dip in the bowl)
Tortillas (Trudy Olive's recipe)
(also tomato, cucumber and feta salad and leftover veg from last night)

Dinner was Helene's slow cooked ribs
These are just so scrumptious, though I over reduced the glaze, but just slapped it on and cooked and worked fine. Well worth the time and effort - though really they aren't that much work so long as you are around the house.
Served with parmesan salt potatoes (cubed potatoes, cooked in the basket 20 mins; then rinsed and dried the bowl, chopped parmesan and salt and then tossed in the potatoes and a little EVOO and mixed for 10secs, reverse, speed 1. Then popped in a roasting tray with a little more oil and baked in the oven to crisp up.)
And steamed vegetables in the Varoma.

Wednesday 3rd November - cheese, bread, blueberry meringue, fish, rice, veg, feta and lemon sauce, hommus

Made grated cheese for the girls wraps for lunch.

Made a loaf of bread.

Had some egg whites that needed using up so made meringue, placed frozen blueberries in a baking dish, put the meringue on top on baked for 10 mins.

This was such a simple dessert but the girls loved it.
(didn't think to take a picture until it was nearly finished, lol).

Dinner - steamed fish, rice, vegetables and lemon and feta sauce.

Marinated the fish in a little soy sauce and sesame oil.

Placed in a foil open nest in the bottom of the varoma.

1 ltr of water and vegie stock concentrate in the bowl. 1 cup of rice (200g) in the basket, varoma on top, cooked for 18 mins at varoma temperature, speed 1 with the varoma with the fish in it in place. With 5 mins to go added the top tray with carrots and beans (we like our veg crunchy).

Then made the lemon and feta sauce from this recipe :
http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=203.0
Used less quantities (100g feta, also did half sour cream/half yoghurt).

This was really nice, as usual the fish steamed in the varoma was so succulent, the sauce was really lovely - a real favourite of dd1 who wanted a bowl of it!

Also made some hommus for the girls for morning tea tomorrow.

Monday 27th September - dip, honey soy chicken and steamed veg, custard

In the morning I made garlic and herb dip (edc)
Then made the marinade for the honey soy chicken wingettes.

Dinner cooked the wingettes whilst steaming veg (bok choy, carrot, yellow squash, brocolli, capsicum) in the varoma and served with rice.

Desert - chocolate custard.

Thursday 16th September - spinach/feta dip, pasta, custard

Dip - made the spinach and feta dip again http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=4292.0 - def a winner.

Dinner - Creamy tomato and salami pasta from the EDC

Dessert - vanilla custard.

Saturday 11th September - porridge, hummus, garlic herb dip, spinach and feta dip, pasta, strawberry dessert

Breakfast - porridge

In the afternoon I made some dips to take to a BBQ tomorrow
Hummus
Herb and Garlic

The spinach and feta dip is so yummy and will definitely become a family favourite.

Dinner - the girls had tomato and spinach pasta
Desert - sort of a cross between sorbet and fruit dream - frozen strawberries, sugar, ice, 2 egg whites.

Thursday 26th August - grated cheese, herb and garlic dip, hummus, mince, bolognaise for nachos

This morning I grated cheese to go on the girls puff pastry things for lunch.

Then made herb and garlic dip and hummus to renew the dips in the fridge (we use hummus on wraps and the girls take dips to school regularly for morning tea with crudites) and some to take to mother's group.

Dinner we had nachos, minced the pork and then made a bolognaise sauce in the Thermomix.

Saturday 21st August - boiled eggs, pureed strawberry, rolls, dip, stroganoff, cheese sauce

Lots of uses today.

Breakfast: boiled eggs

and then pureed strawberry for adding to yoghurt

Had guests for dinner so during the afternoon I made

isi's bread rolls and herb and garlic dip

And for dinner had Beef Stroganoff

I also made cheese sauce (for the girls cauliflower cheese for dinner)
