Update

Just a vague update post.
Still loving thermy - could do with a new lid seal though.

Lots of simple easier alternatives this week - pizza (dough and sauce), muffins and muesli bar mix, rice, porridge. All things you could do without the tmx but oh so much easier with!

Chocolate sorbet and muesli bars

A couple of highlight recipes from this week.
Firstly so I remember where it was from, chocolate sorbet.
http://www.recipecommunity.com.au/node/17209
I did 100g sugar, 50g milk chocolate (didn't have dark), 40g cocoa powder, 1 large egg white, 3 trays of ice cubes.
Was a bit too chocolaty (well that's what the kids said, they said less cocoa powder next time)
Made heaps and a great low calorie version of chocolate icecream.

And as I've been asked for my muesli bar recipe.
I do :
300g dried fruit (and chop)
400g dry (oats, milk powder, pea protein powder, coconut etc)
250g water (can use apple juice or add some honey if you want them sweeter).
Mix, line a baking tray, spread evenly.

Bake for 20 mins at 180 degrees.

Jan 2013

Been awhile since I posted but thought I'd do a highlight day.
So yesterday 19th January using the Thermomix I made:

Boiled eggs for breakfast - still think it's the best way of boiling eggs.
Fruit balls (ground nuts, oats, dried fruit with lemon juice and water cooked up, mixed into the dry and made into balls), for snacks for the week.
Chicken Stock
and then chicken and veg soup (chicken stock, garlic, chili, mixed herbs, pepper, celery, carrot, onion, potato, green beans, soup mix, and a tin of tomatoes - as dd1 asked half way through if we could have minestrone, lol).
Garlic butter

So still using the Thermomix. We do eat salad type meals a lot but still wouldn't like to be without the thermomix.
