Saturday 19th November

Breakfast - boiled eggs, still loving how easy boiled eggs are with still never a broken one, and no need to worry about timing.

Afternoon - made orange and pineapple juice, with lots of ice as it was hot and we'd been out.

Dinner - made a bbq marinade (garlic, little soy, worcester sauce, tomato sauce, - sure there was something else) to marinate chicken for dinner.

Sunday 31st July - porridge, cheese and zucchini muffins, pork rib marinade

Breakfast - porridge (the recipe we use is posted about a week or so ago, otherwise there is one on the forum)

Made cheese and zucchini muffins (forum recipe) - hopefully will make dd3 happy as she was rather insistent that I had to make wontons for her preschool lunch tomorrow and I didn't. But these are still her favourites.

Dinner - pork ribs (sorry about the photo the top rib looks burnt, but they weren't).
Used this recipe by JD - but made the marinade in the tmx. (grating the garlic and ginger, then adding the rest of the ingredients and mixing)
Really yummy. Everyone loved these ribs.

Saturday 5th March - chocolate cake, chocolate ganache, vegie sausage rolls, honey, soy and lime marinade, creamy tomato pasta, chicken stock

It's dd3's 4th Birthday Party tomorrow so made
Chocolate Cake and Chocolate Ganache to ice it.

Decorated with chocolate numbers to make a clock face (was a bit of a squeeze to get the big ones on, lol, though looks a bit neater irl.

Made vegie 'sausage roll' mix
Did a double portion of this recipe I made up
http://thermomixmeals.blogspot.com/2011/02/sunday-13th-february-pancakes-vegie.html
Have partially cooked them ready to be heated up tomorrow.

Made a honey, soy and lime marinade for chicken drumsticks (having a BBQ tomorrow).

For dinner the girls had creamy tomato pasta.

I also made some chicken stock (just because I had a carcass to use up - but thinking soup and leftovers will be good for dinner tomorrow night).

Sunday 27th February - pancakes, stock, soup, banana bread, fruit balls, marinade, mayo, carrot salad, fried rice

Breakfast - pancakes

Lunch - made chicken stock and then a soup using the stock, soup mix (cooked for 30 mins), mixed vegies (cooked for 15mins) and some pepper.

Afternoon made banana bread (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=2962.0)

Once again a massive hit.

Dried fruit balls for this weeks lunch boxes:

Marinade for tonight's dinner (stir fried chicken) - ginger, garlic, chili, soy sauce, fish sauce, sesame oil.

Then made a batch of mayonnaise.

Also made a quick carrot salad for lunch tomorrow (hate to waste the mayo left in the bowl so leave a bit in and then chop a carrot and/or other veg).

Dinner - we had stir fried chicken, cashews and brocolli (using the marinade above) made on the stove top whilst the Thermomix made fried rice (garlic rice, with veg steamed in the varoma for 10 mins and eggs added to the varoma in the last 5 mins).

Was really pleased with this meal. Very quick to make and the marinated chicken was divine!

Friday 5th November - easy curry, honey soy and curry marinades, wonton soup, choc custard

Lunch - my 3 year old dd asked for curry and rice for lunch (as she does half the time) and usually when we are short of time I just use some curry paste and a fry pan but decided today to do a super quick curry in the tmx.

1 pork fillet cubed (around 200g I guess)
1/2 an onion
1 clove of garlic
EVOO
2 tbsp curry paste (Patak's Rogan Josh)
1/2 tin of tomatoes
a little water.

chop garlic and onion and saute for 2mins 30 sec in EVOO - 100° sp 1
Add meat and saute 1 min 100° reverse sp 1
add curry paste, tomatoes and a little water
cook 16 mins 100° reverse sp 1.

Served with rice done in the rice cooker so all ready in around 20 mins. Was really nice. Much easier than the usual method and less messy.

Made a couple of marinades, dh is doing a bbq at the cricket club tomorrow so made up and marinated some chicken pieces for him.
1. Honey and Soy marinade (garlic, ginger, soy sauce, honey, little sesame oil, olive oil)
2. Curry marinade (curry powder, lemon juice, chilli)

Wonton soup for dinner (recipe http://thermomixmeals.blogspot.com/2010/07/tuesday-13th-july.html )

Dessert - chocolate custard. No flour. Seems we can't please everyone with custard consistency, some like some flour others none. But yummy and perfect on a cold horrible supposedly November and nearly summer day!

Sunday 22nd August - marinade, gravy

Sunday 22nd August
Made a marinade (2 cloves garlic, rosemary (both chopped), mustard, worcester sauce, balsamic vinegar, soy sauce (1/4 cup each of the liquids) blended, then two bay leaves added. This was used to marinade rump steak cubes that were made into kebabs.

Later used the marinade to make up a gravy. (added flour, a little wine and a little water, blended 10 sec speed 6, cooked 8 minutes, 90 degrees on speed 4.)

This was such a nice marinade.
