Tuesday 2nd August - porridge, curried sausages and rice

Breakfast - porridge.

Dinner - Curried Sausages. Been wanting to try this recipe for ages and it's as reported really delicious!! Forgot the photo again we all just dug in.
Makes heaps! Enough for two meals for the girls and I. I left out the sultana's as I really don't like them but was lovely. Everyone loved the apple in particular.

Monday 14th March - sausage, mash, veg and onion gravy, cashew chocolate pudding.

Dinner - made Sausage, mash and onion gravy with veg using the forum recipe. Haven't had this in ages but dh had bought some sausages for the bbq on the weekend but we all had steak instead. It was really yummy, forgot how nice it was.
And for dessert Jabba's chocolate cashew cream

Made it before dinner and popped in the fridge to chill, so super super easy and tasty. Next time I'll add a little more cocoa, wondering even if you could melt some chocolate but still chill it quite quickly.

Monday 11 October - burrito sauce

Kids back to school today! Yah!

Dinner I had planned on making sausages, mash and onion gravy with steamed veg, but ended up at a friends after school, forgot about clarinet lesson and got home and panicked about not having time for that.
So decided to use the sausages to make a meat dish to go on wraps / burritos.

Chopped garlic, 1/2 onion, 1/2 chili
Added chopped up sausage
Added oil and sautéed for 5 mins (100degrees, reverse, speed soft).
Added 1/2 tin tomatoes and worcester sauce and cooked for 10 mins reverse, speed soft, 100 degrees.
Was really lovely.
I could have done more with herbs and spices but as this was a panic make something as quick as you can this was great. Very tasty - but they were lovely organic beef and basil sausages.

All the kids loved it - served on tortillas with sour cream, sauces (sweet chili, hot chili, mustard depending on preferences) and salad.

Given me loads of ideas for making mince for burrito's and also other things to use sausages with.

Tuesday 14th September - playdough, sausage, mash, vegetables and gravy, bread

Made some blue playdough this morning (using the tweaked recipe on the forum - have updated my EDC).

I haven't made playdough in years as I find it too hard to stir with my poor hands so this was great and so easy.

Dinner was sausages, mash and gravy with carrots and asparagus.
Still loving the ease of doing all this in the TMX.

I was a bit sceptical but it was brilliant. Used a mix of bisto (how English of me) and cornflour to thicken the gravy and had added some mushrooms to the sauce at the beginning.

Lovely organic sausages so there was hardly any fat and everything tasted great!!
