Thursday 21st July - porridge, garlic, grated cheese

Breakfast - porridge.

Dinner we had potato and courgette bake. I minced the garlic and grated the cheese in the tmx.

Monday 20th/Tuesday 21st June - porridge, cheese, bread crumbs

Monday
Breakfast - porridge. (obviously a real winter staple for the kids, but it's cheap, filling and so easy to make in the tmx).

Was out for lunch (meeting some other lovely TMX owners from the Thermomix Forum!!)
and dinner was chicken kebabs and wedges in the oven.

Tuesday

Breakfast - porridge

Dinner - During the day made crumbed chicken breast pieces and chicken drumettes.
Grated parmesan and made the bread crumb mixture in the TMX.

Thursday 12th, Friday 13th May - porridge, juice, cheese, stock, Cauliflower Soup

Blogger has been down for posting so here is the last couple of days posts

Thursday 12th May

Breakfast - porridge and orange and mandarin juice

Lunch - I went to a friend's Thermomix demo (and she is buying one yah!!!) so not made in my tmx but had a lovely sorbet with orange, lemon, lime, and a bit of pineapple, beetroot salad, mushroom risotto, rolls, hummus and vanilla custard (made with goat's milk)

For dinner we had burrito's. Grated the cheese in the tmx. The mince mixture was from the freezer but had previously been made in the tmx.

Friday 13th May

Made liquid chicken stock in the morning for Dinner - cauliflower soup.

Milled coriander, cumin, and chili flakes, then added garlic and onion and chopped, then sauted, then added stock, cauliflower and cooked 15 mins, added flour and cooked 5 mins. Then blitzed for 1 minute.

It thickened up nicely in the thermoserver but I would add a potato if eating straight away.

All three girls had 3 servings and really loved this soup. It was really creamy and lovely flavours (dd1 picked the indian spices) and didn't need any extra cream.

Wednesday 16th March - pizza, vanilla pudding

Made my favourite vanilla pudding (from the vanilla slice recipe linked further back a couple of times).

Dinner was pizza, so made the dough, grated the cheeses and made the sauces in the tmx.

Friday 21st January - smoothie, garlic and herb dip, pizza and toppings

Breakfast - smoothie.

Then made garlic and herb (parsley and chives) dip to take to friends.

Dinner we had pizza.
The TMX made the dough, a garlic and herb blend (for a garlic pizza with a little olive oil and a little cheese), tomato pizza sauce, grated cheese.

And for those that love my children's idiosyncrasies, here is dd3 hugging the dough. She spent the whole pizza making experience patting and cuddling the dough. Apparently she loves dough, lol. (remember these are the kids that have been known to eat flour, and she does actually quite like eating bits of raw dough.)

Wednesday 3rd November - cheese, bread, blueberry meringue, fish, rice, veg, feta and lemon sauce, hommus

Made grated cheese for the girls wraps for lunch.

Made a loaf of bread.

Had some egg whites that needed using up so made meringue, placed frozen blueberries in a baking dish, put the meringue on top on baked for 10 mins.

This was such a simple dessert but the girls loved it.
(didn't think to take a picture until it was nearly finished, lol).

Dinner - steamed fish, rice, vegetables and lemon and feta sauce.

Marinated the fish in a little soy sauce and sesame oil.

Placed in a foil open nest in the bottom of the varoma.

1 ltr of water and vegie stock concentrate in the bowl. 1 cup of rice (200g) in the basket, varoma on top, cooked for 18 mins at varoma temperature, speed 1 with the varoma with the fish in it in place. With 5 mins to go added the top tray with carrots and beans (we like our veg crunchy).

Then made the lemon and feta sauce from this recipe :
http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=203.0
Used less quantities (100g feta, also did half sour cream/half yoghurt).

This was really nice, as usual the fish steamed in the varoma was so succulent, the sauce was really lovely - a real favourite of dd1 who wanted a bowl of it!

Also made some hommus for the girls for morning tea tomorrow.

Monday 1st November - smoothie, lasagna

Breakfast - smoothie

Dinner - lasagna so the parmesan was grated, meat sauce (including making the mince) and the Bechamel were made in the TMX.
A really nice lasagna following the EDC recipe.

Friday 29th October - cheese, orange choc chip muffins

Friday 29th October

Dinner we had left over mince, salsa etc from yesterday with salad in wraps. Grated cheese for these.

Made orange choc chip muffins. Yum!! And what's so brilliant with the TMX, just quarter the orange and throw the whole lot in, no peeling or deseeding, so quick and easy.
Used this recipe http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=1223.0 - will def make again.
Made 24 mini muffins and 4 larger muffins. So these will last us awhile.

Thursday 28th October - grated cheese, jam, muffins, salsa, ragu

Thursday 28th October
Morning - grated cheese to go on the girls puff pastry scrolls for lunch (and extra for dinner)

Afternoon - made orange and carrot marmalade.
1 lemon, 2 oranges (370g), 2 carrots (200g)
blitz speed 5 for 5 secs
Added 500g water (think this was a little too much)
cooked 30 mins, 100° speed 2 reverse
Added 750g sugar
cook 30mins 100° reverse speed 1
Didn't think it would set so added half a packet of jamsetta and cooked 10 mins more.

In the end it set very well so not sure how it would have gone without the jamsetta.

Dinner we had nachos.
So made a Salsa

300g tomatoes
1 spring onion
1 capsicum (or mixed capsicum to equiv of 1 whole - I did green and red)
bunch of parsley
20g olive oil
juice of one lime

Put tomatoes, spring onion, capsicum, parsley in TMX and chop 8 sec sp 5 (or however long for the consistency you want).
Add olive oil and lime juice and mix 10 sec, sp 1.

I like my salsa spicer so added 1/2 teaspoon of tabasco - in future will add 1/2 to 1 chili at the beginning.

Adapted from a recipe on taste.com.au

Then minced some beef and made up the EDC ragu (for tonight's and tomorrow nights dinners)

Sunday 24th October - pancakes, pizza - dough/cheese, cheese and zucchini muffins, bread, soup, rice

te

Breakfast - pancakes - the kids favourite and using two pans and a headstart I actually managed to keep up with demand.

Lunch - Pizza
Grated cheese and made the pizza dough in the TMX.

Made cheese and zucchini mini muffins http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=140.msg215#msg215 for the girls lunch boxes this week.
They tried these and all three really loved them so a def regular in our house.

Dinner - Girls - Brown rice and vegie soup.
We had takeaway curry (buy one get one free!) so cooked rice in the TMX

Also made a loaf of bread.

Thurs 21 October - juice, bread crumbs, dahl

Thursday 21st October

Breakfast - orange and mandarin juice.

Dinner - I made tomato and lentil dahl (edc) and also Parmesan crumbed aubergine.
I fell in love with this recipe http://www.masterchef.com.au/falsomagro-with-crumbed-eggplant-and-tomato-sauce.htm on Junior Masterchef.

I created the crumb using:
1 clove of garlic
small handful of parsley
80g of breadcrumbs (broken up)
40g of parmesan (in cubes)

Added parmesan to TMX and chopped 6 sec spd 8
Added garlic, bread and parsley - chopped 5 sec spd 7

Sliced the eggplant and cut in half.
Then coated the eggplant in flour, egg and the above breadcrumbs and fried for a 2 mins each side.

They were nice but not as good as I'd hoped, didn't feel the parmesan flavour came through enough with that ratio.

Tuesday 12th October - sauce, grated cheese

Dinner was lamb in the slow cooker - so chopped up the onion, garlic and herbs for that.

Grated cheese.

Sunday October 3rd - smoothie, salad, cheese, pasta, chicken ballotines

Breakfast - smoothie.
Lunch - cabbage, carrot, spring onion, capsicum salad (to go with bbq sausages).
Also grated cheese.
Dinner - the girls had creamy tomato pasta.
dh and I had Mini Italian Chicken Ballotines served with salad. These were so yummy and gave me loads of ideas of things that could be stuffed in them. Think the girls will like these too. Filling and steaming chicken fillets like this will definitely be on the menu here.

Friday 1st October - grated parmesan and cheddar, bread, risotto

Grated parmesan and cheddar cheeses.
Made bread dough. For lunch the girls made rolls filled and topped with cheeses, salami, ham, capsicum and olives. (here is three of them, the other three had already been nabbed, lol)
Dinner - Chicken Cacciatore Risotto. -
http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=1858.0
Really nice. Think I might try it with a bit of chilli for more flavour.

And when cleaning the Thermomix I pulled the lid off and this bubble stayed across the top of the jug!

Thursday 26th August - grated cheese, herb and garlic dip, hummus, mince, bolognaise for nachos

This morning I grated cheese to go on the girls puff pastry things for lunch.

Then made herb and garlic dip and hummus to renew the dips in the fridge (we use hummus on wraps and the girls take dips to school regularly for morning tea with crudites) and some to take to mother's group.

Dinner we had nachos, minced the pork and then made a bolognaise sauce in the Thermomix.

Thursday 19th August - Quick chicken curry, cheese, potato bake sauce

Lunch I made a super quick chicken curry.
1 clove of garlic and some coriander - shopped 5 sec speed 7
add 2 tsp curry powder and 20g oil - saute 2mins, 100 degrees, speed 1
added 200g of chicken, 3 big spoonfuls of yoghurt and half a red capsicum.
Cooked 15 mins, 100 degrees, reverse, speed soft.
Needed a bit of thickening so added a tablespoon of corn flour and cooked a further 2 mins.

Very quick and easy and tasty.

Dinner I did a spinach, zucchini and onion potato bake.
Grated the cheese in the Thermomix and made the sauce (chopped and cooked garlic, peppercorns and parsley, added cream and milk and mixed).

Tuesday 10th August - dip, grated cheese

Made garlic and herb dip to take to morning tea at a friends.

Dinner - grated cheese for homemade pizza (home late from afternoon activities so used tortilla's instead of making pizza dough).

Sunday 8th August - grated cheese, gravy

Lunch - grated cheese.

Dinner - Sunday roast - made the gravy in the Thermomix again. Once again a real time and sanity saver and such lovely tasting and textured gravy.
